Description
Catch it Only in Dream IV is the 4th in a series of purely digital creations that I've posted here on Pixels/FAA. Using a paint application and a photo filter application on an iPad, I have created my first digital dream catchers. Traditionally, Dream Catchers were made of a small hoop containing a horsehair mesh, or a similar construction of string or yarn, decorated with feathers and beads. They were believed to give their owners good dreams. Dreamcatchers were originally made by Indigenous Americans. It is believed that Dream Catchers originated with the Ojibwe people. Today, a variety of dream catcher imagery can be found in digitally made mandalas and kaleidoscope-type artwork. I have given mine an oil paint feel, with a craquelure effect.
