Description
Built in 1954, the current and iconic Modernist-style Food Building located on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition replaced an earlier 1922-built 'Pure Food' Building. It has been a staple experience for CNE visitors since then. Popular attractions in the building (also known as the Food Pavilion) have included the Schneiders Meats counter, Tiny Tim Donuts, and the PEZ booth. Once the home of many free samples to the CNE visitor, it is now less attractive but still serves up some fine sustenance to the hungry fair participant.
