Description
True North 7 with light outline has the same content as my original True North #7 painting, but has been altered on the computer by using digital software, and adding some texture.
This series of colourful acrylic paintings were inspired by many visits to Killarney Provincial park, and visits to several lakes in northern Ontario. This artwork is comprised of an original view of a typical Northern Landscape from Ontario, Canada. I've used bold colours to celebrate the landscape, and show the joy I feel when surrounded by nature. Similar tree and rock formations have been painted and photographed by thousands of artists for over 100 years. These are my original renditions of such landscapes. The inukshuk is used to symbolize that someone has come to this place, and wanted to leave a mark of recognition that others have come before.
