Between Kingston, Ontario and Toronto (in an area known as the Prince Edward County) one can drive along rural highways and find many old barns like these. My concern is that farm life is getting more and more modernized, with major corporations monopolizing the seeding of grains, feeding antibiotics to animals, and genetically modifying our food. My belief is that these old barns will soon be torn down, and factory-like buildings will take their place. I have been collecting images of old barns for several years now, and will continue to do so as long as the independent farmer is still able to survive and provide us with traditional healthy food.
