Inspired while attempting to get that perfect image of the solar eclipse, on August 21, 2017, I decided to combine some imagery of my own and use some abstract digital filters to pay tribute to this magnificent event in a more abstract and colourful way. If you look closely, you can see my hand in the image, trying to capture the moon and the sun at the same time during the partial eclipse.
The final effect is much less scientific, and concentrates more on the beauty of the event.
