Description
The Super Moon that appeared at the end of August, 2023 was the last one of its kind to be seen until 2037. This rare Super Blue Moon was one of the largest and brightest of the year. It rose over the Eastern horizon in the Aquarius Constellation, and was the second of two full moons to be seen in the same month. The first one appeared on August 1st, and was known as a Full Sturgeon Moon. Super Moon is a common term used for a full moon that occurs when our celestial orb is closer to Earth, making it appear just slightly larger and brighter in the sky. I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph this glorious wonder right from my front porch.
