Description
The Toronto Aga Khan Museum was opened in the fall of 2014. The museum is dedicated to the acquisition, preservation, and interpretation of artifacts relating to intellectual, cultural, artistic, and religious traditions of the Muslim communities. It provides a space for permanent exchanges between the Western and Islamic world to better understand our mutual histories. The building is a design by Pritzker Prize winner, Fumihiko Maki and is 10,000 square meters in size.
This art was chosen as part, of a Special Feature Series in the “Red Maple Gallery”,, accompanying my BATHURST STREET CAR COMING NORTH TO QUEEN STREET, photograph, an award winning artwork, of the GEORGE F. G. STANLEY AWARD and SPECIAL FEATURE.
