Description
Stick bugs, also known as phasmatodea, have a natural camouflage that makes them very difficult to spot. Phasmids are herbivores, feeding mainly off of leaves of trees and shrubs. But... when capturing this wild flower in a photo along a hike in Killarney, Ontario, I was fortunate enough to get a portrait of the mysterious bug feeding off the flower; and although not immediately seen by the naked eye, brought to my attention in the macro lens. What a great opportunity!
