Description
The hellebore flower comprises 20 species of herbaceous, or evergreen perennial flowering plants. Many species are poisonous. Various species of this genus originated in Europe and Asia. The greatest concentration of them occur in the Balkans. The flowers have 5 petal-like sepals that surround a collection of small cup-like nectaries which are actually petals meant to hold nectar. This one was photographed at the Canada Blooms show in Toronto, Canada.
The images in my vintage postcard collection look great on throw pillows. They are also a favourite of antique collectors, flower lovers, stationery and vintage paper collectors. Be sure to check out my Vintage Postcard Gallery to see them all. The Fine Art America Watermark will not appear on the products you order.
