Description
The geometrical image created by a select portion of an old, but still used, railway track combines nature and man-made textures that force one to hear and smell the train that's coming. Iron oxide and creosote fill one's senses.

A marvelous photo. It takes a real artist to see the beauty and magic in so-called ordinary things. :-)
Nina Silver replied:
Hartmut, thank you so much for your complimentary comment on my work. I really appreciate it.

I love the composition here and the contrast it creates. The formality of the symmetry and strong horizontal create a nice foil for the irregularity of the very worn ties and carelessly strewn rocks. These were my immediate thoughts upon viewing this well seen image; then I read your description and smiled.
Nina Silver replied:
Nikolyn, thank you so much for the thoughtful comment you have left here. It's so nice to have people enjoying what I have seen.
