Description
Midsummer Maple Keys captures the delicate balance of nature as sunlight and seasonal change leads to falling seeds from the great northern maple tree. The maple keys take on a wing formation and glide through the air like helicopters and ultra-light planes.

Beautiful close-up work! They almost appear as a covey of quail or some other birds bursting out of cover to avoid the hunter! l/f

What lovely light and colors, Nina, and such graceful shapes. These things are much prettier on the tree than on the ground, though - we had a bumper crop this year and were pulling baby maples from the lawn and cracks in the driveway and sidewalk for months LOL
Nina Silver replied:
Nikolyn, we also get 'infestations' of these keys every year. The saplings they create in the garden drive me crazy. But I did like how glorious they looked hanging on the tree in the late day sun.
